What Does Managed IT Include for a Southeast Texas Business?
Understand what our Managed IT service covers, how Monitoring-Only differs, and when a Southeast Texas business needs a separate technology project.
By The IT Guys
When your business needs IT help, the first question is usually practical: who will take responsibility for the computers, accounts, and day-to-day problems your team depends on? Managed IT gives that ongoing work a defined home. At The IT Guys, our service is one standardized IT and cybersecurity package for businesses across Southeast Texas.
Day-to-day support and maintenance
Our Managed IT service includes a remote help desk, device monitoring, and patch management. It also includes Microsoft 365 administration, user onboarding and offboarding, shared/team password management, basic network monitoring, and management of covered company phones and tablets. These are recurring responsibilities, rather than a collection of separate support packages.
- Remote help desk for everyday user issues
- RMM/device monitoring and patch management
- Microsoft 365 administration and user lifecycle work
- Shared/team password management
- Basic network monitoring and covered company mobile-device management
Security is part of the service
Managed IT includes SentinelOne endpoint detection and response (EDR), Adlumin SOC-backed managed detection and response (MDR), security alert review, and routine remediation within the agreed scope. There is no separate security upgrade to select. During scoping, we clarify the covered environment and responsibilities so your business knows what the service includes.
What does Managed IT cost?
Our Managed IT service is $125 per user per month, with a $375 monthly minimum. On-site work is separately billed at $125 per hour or can be purchased as a monthly block at $115 per hour. Backup is separate. A quote establishes the covered environment and any separately purchased services or project work.

How Monitoring-Only differs
Monitoring-Only is a specialized, lighter-touch service at $45 per device per month, with a $225 monthly minimum. It includes monitoring, patch management, SentinelOne EDR, alert triage, immediate containment, and monthly reporting. It does not include Adlumin MDR. Help desk support, remediation beyond containment, Microsoft 365 administration, user lifecycle work, vendor coordination, and on-site support are separately billable. A business looking for ongoing user support should begin with Managed IT.
When you need a project instead
Ongoing support and implementation solve different needs. Setting up a business-owned technology foundation, migrating a Microsoft 365 tenant, deploying devices, replacing servers, or installing a network needs a defined project scope. Business IT Integration and our project services cover this work, including cabling, cameras, migrations, and security/compliance assessments as agreed. A project can prepare an environment for ongoing Managed IT, but the two are separately scoped.
Start with the responsibilities you need covered
List the people, devices, accounts, and business systems that need support. Then identify any upcoming changes, such as a new office, a migration, or a device rollout. That gives us a useful starting point for separating recurring support from one-time implementation work and preparing a clear quote.
